Job Description

We are looking for an Tamil speaking experienced Databricks Trainer to conduct live, practical, and industry-oriented online training sessions. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks and Data Engineering, with strong knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and cloud data platforms.

The trainer should be able to explain concepts clearly and provide hands-on guidance through real-world projects, coding exercises, data pipelines, and production-oriented use cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct live online training sessions on Databricks and Data Engineering.
  • Teach Databricks concepts from fundamentals to advanced levels.
  • Provide hands-on training with Databricks Workspace, notebooks, clusters, jobs, workflows, and data pipelines.
  • Teach Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, and distributed data processing.
  • Explain Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables (DLT/Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines), and medallion architecture.
  • Guide learners in building end-to-end data engineering projects.
  • Demonstrate data ingestion, transformation, processing, and optimization techniques.
  • Teach Databricks best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization.
  • Provide practical assignments, coding exercises, and project-based learning.
  • Help learners troubleshoot Databricks jobs, Spark applications, notebooks, and data pipelines.
  • Keep training content aligned with current Databricks technologies and industry practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Databricks, Data Engineering, Big Data, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Good programming skills in Python/PySpark and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of modern data engineering and Lakehouse concepts.
  • Previous experience as a trainer, instructor, mentor, or technical coach is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
  • Experience working on real-world Databricks projects is highly preferred.
  • Ability to conduct engaging and interactive online training sessions.

Good to Have

  • Experience training working professionals or corporate teams.
  • Experience designing end-to-end Databricks data engineering projects.
  • Experience with Azure cloud and Azure Data Engineering services.
  • Databricks certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with data migration, data warehousing, or modern Lakehouse implementations.
  • Experience integrating Databricks with CI/CD and enterprise data platforms.
