Day-to-day tasks include developing design sketches, selecting materials and trims, preparing technical packs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product development, sourcing, and production. The role involves reviewing samples, providing fitting comments, and refining designs based on feedback, market trends, and functional requirements. The designer will also conduct research on textiles, fashion trends, and competitor products to inform new collections and enhancements. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective communication, self-management, and timely delivery of design-related outputs.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to translate concepts into functional activewear products.</li><li>Knowledge of Textiles, including performance fabrics, material properties, and appropriate applications for activewear.</li><li>Experience with Trims and Fitting, ensuring garments meet quality standards, comfort requirements, and aesthetic expectations.</li><li>Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD software) and the ability to create clear technical sketches and specification sheets.</li><li>Understanding of the end user’s needs in sportswear and athleisure, with awareness of current market trends.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with product, sourcing, and production teams.</li><li>Relevant education in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textiles, or a related field; prior experience in activewear or sportswear design is an advantage.</li></ul>
