Visual Studio Code Task Creator and Workflow Recorder

The Work

You will create practical software development tasks in Visual Studio Code and record yourself completing them. Your work will help prepare realistic examples for AI training.

Before recording, you will set up the project and make sure the workflow is complete, understandable, and reproducible. You will also review the recording and documentation against project guidelines.

  • Prepare files, projects, extensions, dependencies, runtimes, and reference materials.
  • Create and record workflows involving code editing, file management, search, debugging, formatting, scripts, terminal commands, Git, settings, extensions, notebooks, and workspace organization.
  • Demonstrate relevant Visual Studio Code and developer-tool features.
  • Check recordings and documentation for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and realism.

What It Pays and Takes

This is a remote, part-time contractor role for freelancers with hands-on Visual Studio Code experience. The role is listed as entry level, but you should be comfortable completing and explaining real computer-based development workflows.

  • Pay: Up to $20 per hour.
  • Time: 20 or more hours per week.
  • Location: Bangladesh, India, or Pakistan.
  • Language: English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Experience: Practical Visual Studio Code experience with coding, file editing, debugging, extensions, terminal workflows, Git integration, or related development tasks.
  • Knowledge: Visual Studio Code Explorer, search, extensions, terminal, debugging, settings, formatting, source control, and workspace organization.
  • Skills: Design authentic and reproducible workflows, manage files and project environments, and prepare runtimes and references.
  • Work style: Strong attention to detail, reliable self-directed work habits, and comfort recording computer-based workflows.
  • Helpful background: Coding, quality assurance, technical writing, GitHub, web development, data analysis, administration, operations, or other computer-based work.
