Virtual Assistant:SEO & AEO Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented SEO & AEO Virtual Assistant to support the company's digital marketing activities and client accounts.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on SEO experience and an understanding of how search is evolving through AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and AI-powered search.

This is primarily an execution-focused role involving keyword research, website optimization, local SEO, content optimization, reporting, and monitoring visibility across Google and AI search platforms.

Key ResponsibilitiesSEO & Keyword Research

  • Conduct keyword and competitor research.
  • Identify high-intent, local, long-tail, and question-based keywords.
  • Identify content gaps and new ranking opportunities.
  • Map keywords to website pages.
  • Research competitors' rankings and SEO strategies.

On-Page SEO

Optimize website pages for:

  • Page titles and meta descriptions
  • H1/H2/H3 headings
  • Keywords and search intent
  • Internal linking
  • Image alt text
  • URL structure
  • Content readability
  • Service and location relevance
  • Calls-to-action

Review existing pages and recommend improvements to increase organic visibility and conversions.

Local SEO

Support local SEO activities, including:

  • Google Business Profile optimization
  • Google posts and updates
  • Business categories and services
  • Local keyword research
  • NAP consistency
  • Citation research
  • Review monitoring
  • Location/service-area page optimization
  • Local competitor analysis

AEO & AI Search Optimization

Help optimize client content for answer engines and AI-powered search platforms such as Google AI search experiences, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research customer questions and search intent.
  • Identify "People Also Ask" and FAQ opportunities.
  • Develop and optimize FAQ content.
  • Structure content to provide clear answers to customer questions.
  • Optimize content for featured snippets and conversational searches.
  • Monitor how clients and competitors appear in AI-generated answers.
  • Identify content and authority gaps.
  • Track important AI-search queries and brand mentions.
  • Recommend appropriate schema/structured data opportunities.

Content Optimization

Support the content team with:

  • Blog topic research
  • SEO content briefs
  • Keyword recommendations
  • FAQ development
  • Existing content updates
  • Internal linking
  • Service and location page optimization
  • Competitor content research

AI tools may be used to assist with research and drafting, but all content must be reviewed for accuracy, quality, and relevance.

Technical SEO Support

Identify and report basic technical SEO issues such as:

  • Indexing problems
  • Broken links
  • Redirect issues
  • Duplicate content
  • XML sitemap issues
  • Page speed
  • Mobile usability
  • Core Web Vitals
  • Schema markup
  • Google Search Console errors

The VA does not need to be a developer but should be able to identify and clearly document issues for the web team.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Use tools such as:

  • Google Search Console
  • Google Analytics 4
  • Google Business Profile
  • SEMrush/Ahrefs or similar SEO platforms
  • PageSpeed Insights
  • Google Sheets
  • AI search platforms

Monitor:

  • Organic traffic
  • Search impressions and clicks
  • Keyword rankings
  • Organic leads/conversions
  • Local search performance
  • Google Business Profile performance
  • AI-search/answer-engine visibility

Provide regular updates showing:

What was completed → What changed → Opportunities identified → Recommended next steps

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of SEO or digital marketing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with on-page SEO and keyword research.
  • Understanding of local SEO and Google Business Profile.
  • Experience with Google Search Console.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and client accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 per year
