Tamil Bilingual Expert<br><br><strong>Job Type:</strong> Contractor<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Remote<br><br><strong>Job Overview<br><br></strong>We are seeking <strong>Tamil Bilingual Experts</strong> to contribute to an impactful language and AI training project focused on improving Tamil-language understanding and generation. In this role, you will evaluate Tamil audio content, assess linguistic quality and authenticity, and provide detailed feedback based on established evaluation guidelines.<br><br>No prior AI experience is required. Strong Tamil language expertise, English communication skills, and attention to detail are the key requirements for this role.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li>Listen to audio clips in Tamil and evaluate the nativeness, fluency, and overall linguistic quality of the speaker or model output.</li><li>Assess pronunciation, intonation, accent, rhythm, and linguistic authenticity.</li><li>Identify unnatural phrasing, pronunciation issues, and subtle language differences.</li><li>Document evaluations using clear and concise written feedback in English.</li><li>Provide detailed explanations and justifications for evaluation decisions.</li><li>Follow established guidelines, rubrics, and quality standards consistently.</li><li>Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguous language content.</li><li>Provide linguistic insights to help improve AI models' Tamil-language understanding and generation.</li><li>Complete assigned audio review tasks accurately and within project deadlines.</li><li>Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Native-level proficiency in Tamil, with excellent command of spoken and written Tamil.</li><li>B2+ proficiency in English, particularly for written and verbal communication.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle linguistic differences.</li><li>Excellent written communication skills.</li><li>Strong verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to clearly explain linguistic observations and evaluation decisions.</li><li>Ability to follow detailed guidelines and apply evaluation criteria consistently.</li><li>Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Background in linguistics, phonetics, voice specialization, music, audio engineering, communications, or a related field.</li><li>Experience with audio analysis, transcription, language evaluation, or linguistic assessment.</li><li>Experience evaluating pronunciation, accents, speech patterns, or voice quality.</li><li>Background in teaching, media, communications, or language-related roles.</li><li>Familiarity with AI-generated speech or language technologies is a plus, but not required.<br><br><br></li></ul>Core Skills<br><br><ul><li>Tamil Native Proficiency</li><li>English – B2+</li><li>Audio Evaluation</li><li>Linguistic Assessment</li><li>Pronunciation & Intonation</li><li>Attention to Detail</li><li>Written Communication</li><li>Verbal Communication</li><li>Critical Listening</li><li>Quality Assurance</li><li>Language Evaluation<br></li></ul>
