About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts create, review, and evaluate examples that help models reason more accurately, follow instructions, and produce reliable outputs.

In this role, your statistics expertise and reproducible Python work will help train and assess models on complex computational reasoning tasks.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge AI development through expert problem creation and evaluation
  • Use analytical judgment to distinguish correct, complete, and reproducible solutions
  • Work remotely with flexible part-time scheduling

The Statistics Expert Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Statistics Expert with a degree and professional experience in statistics to design and validate original, research-style computational statistics problems. The problems should require complex reasoning and be impractical to solve manually within a reasonable timeframe.

You will use Python and standard scientific libraries to verify solutions, then clearly document each problem statement and its fully reproducible correct solution. The work should reflect real-world research and applied workflows, including estimation, inference, simulation, and optimization.

  • Subject matter focus: research-style computational statistics problems
  • Data type: text
  • Relevant work includes text generation, evaluation and rating, and fine-tuning

What You'll Do

You will develop high-quality computational statistics content for AI training and review. Each submission should be original, technically rigorous, and supported by reproducible verification.

  • Design original statistics problems requiring complex computational reasoning
  • Create problems grounded in estimation, inference, simulation, and optimization
  • Use Python for analysis and solution verification
  • Work with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and SymPy
  • Document problem statements and fully reproducible correct solutions
  • Review or annotate text according to detailed guidelines
  • Incorporate quality assurance feedback into your work

Requirements

This position requires an advanced statistics background, professional experience, and strong Python capability. Hands-on experience with text annotation or review is also required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional statistics experience
  • Advanced Python skills for verification and analysis
  • Familiarity with research-style computational statistics problems
  • Hands-on text annotation or review experience
  • Ability to follow detailed annotation guidelines and QA feedback
  • English CV with contact details, including an email address and phone number
