SNRASSOC, Generalist, HR Relationship Management (BI0008)

Role Purpose

The Senior Associate - HR Generalist will serve as the primary HR partner for DBS Bank's GIFT City office, responsible for managing the full spectrum of Human Resources activities. The incumbent will work closely with business leaders and employees to deliver people strategies, talent solutions, employee engagement initiatives, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws, IFSCA regulations, and DBS policies.

The role requires a highly independent HR professional who can influence stakeholders, manage complex employee matters, and drive a culture aligned to DBS values and Ways of Working.


Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

  • Partner with business leaders to align HR strategy with business priorities.
  • Provide advisory support on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related decisions.
  • Support leadership teams in driving performance and productivity initiatives.

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for GIFT City-based roles.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition teams and hiring managers on workforce planning and hiring strategies.
  • Ensure quality hiring, candidate experience, and timely onboarding.
  • Support senior and niche hiring requirements across business functions.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Build strong employee connect and foster a positive employee experience.
  • Provide guidance on employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive employee engagement programs, wellness initiatives, diversity and inclusion activities, and culture-building efforts.
  • Facilitate regular employee listening mechanisms and action planning.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Drive annual performance management processes.
  • Support succession planning, talent reviews, leadership discussions, and career development initiatives.
  • Facilitate learning interventions and capability-building programs.
  • Partner with managers on talent identification and retention strategies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support annual compensation review processes.
  • Partner with HR COEs on rewards, recognition, and benefits implementation.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on compensation and benefits policies.

HR Operations & Governance

  • Ensure smooth execution of employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and exits.
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies, employment legislation, and regulatory requirements applicable to GIFT City operations.
  • Partner with HR Operations teams to ensure data accuracy and process adherence.
  • Support audit requirements and HR governance reviews.

Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to labour laws, employment regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Manage employee documentation and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support organizational risk and control frameworks.
  • Drive awareness and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Champion DBS's culture, values, and employee value proposition.
  • Drive adoption of employee development platforms, learning programs, and career management initiatives.
  • Organize employee engagement and recognition activities.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor people metrics and workforce trends.
  • Prepare dashboards and insights on hiring, attrition, engagement, diversity, and talent.
  • Leverage data to identify risks and recommend actions to business leaders.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certifications in HR, Labour Laws, Coaching, Analytics, or Talent Management will be advantageous.

Experience

  • 10-12 years of progressive HR experience in Banking, Financial Services, GIFT City entities, GCCs, or large multinational organizations.
  • Proven experience handling end-to-end HR responsibilities.
  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders and managing employee relations matters.
  • Strong understanding of Indian employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a standalone HRBP/HR Generalist role will be preferred.
