SMS Product Manager – MENA & APAC

SMS Product Manager – MENA & APAC

Identidad Tech · Remote (MENA/APAC) · Contract

Do you know exactly which carrier to call when a route in the Gulf suddenly drops quality — and how to get it fixed before it costs a single dollar of margin?

At Identidad Tech, we've spent over 25 years building telecom infrastructure for carriers and enterprises worldwide — Voice, SMS, Cloud Numbering, and Managed Services — from two hubs in Miami and Bogotá. We move billions of messages and minutes a year through markets most providers only reach through intermediaries, or don't reach at all. This isn't a support seat buried inside a big matrixed org: you'll own MENA and APAC's entire SMS/A2P vendor base directly, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our Commercial Director and Sales team.

What you'll do

  • Own and evolve the SMS/A2P product strategy and roadmap across MENA and APAC.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage carrier relationships — pricing, capacity, and commercial terms that directly shape our routing.
  • Chase down quality issues and cost inefficiencies across your vendor base before they become client-facing problems.
  • Scout and secure the network capacity needed to expand into new markets within the region.
  • Feed market intelligence — regulatory shifts, operator changes, pricing moves — back to the rest of the business.
  • Partner closely with Sales to match the right clients to the right regional opportunities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SMS/A2P procurement or carrier relations.
  • Direct, provable experience managing carrier relationships in MENA and/or APAC — you know the vendors, the regulators, and the quirks by name.
  • A real track record of finding and closing growth opportunities, not just maintaining what's already there.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills — comfortable prioritizing across a large, varied vendor portfolio.
  • Advanced English, spoken and written.
  • Based in MENA or APAC preferred; open to candidates elsewhere with demonstrable regional experience.
What we're looking for
  • Someone who treats a routing or pricing problem like a puzzle to solve, not a ticket to close.
  • A confident negotiator who's just as comfortable on a carrier call as reading a margin report.
  • Someone who works independently and takes real ownership of a region without needing to be micromanaged.
The profile that fits with us We're not looking for someone who manages a spreadsheet of vendors. We're looking for someone who actually knows these markets — who's negotiated with these carriers before, who understands why a route in one country behaves differently than the one next door, and who gets real satisfaction out of turning that knowledge into growth. If that's you, keep reading.
