Senior Data & Systems Analyst

The Senior Data and Systems Analyst within the IT Department is responsible for leading the analysis management and optimization of data systems to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business needs design and implement effective data solutions and ensure data quality and governance The Analyst also develops insightful dashboards and reports stays current with emerging technologies and ensures the security and scalability of the data infrastructure By utilizing advanced analytical techniques and strategic insights the Senior Data and Systems Analyst is instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making and fostering continuous improvement across the organization b Primary Duties and Responsibilities b Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and objectives Design implement and maintain data systems and processes Extract transform and load data for analysis Ensure data quality integrity and governance Develop and maintain data models dashboards and reports Communicate complex findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data management and analytics Evaluate and recommend new tools methodologies and frameworks Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure scalability performance and security of data systems Contribute to the development and implementation of data protection strategies disaster recovery plans and business continuity measures These duties and responsibilities are subject to change and additional tasks may be assigned as required by the line manager or the academy b Minimum Qualifications amp Experience b Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field master s degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis systems analysis or a related role Proficiency in data manipulation extraction transformation and loading techniques Strong understanding of data quality principles and governance best practices Experience developing and maintaining data models dashboards and reports using tools such as SQL Tableau or Power BI Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Proven track record of staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics Experience with data security scalability and performance optimization techniques Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and lead projects from conception to implementation b Skills b Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL Python or R Understanding of data modelling concepts and techniques Ability to design implement and maintain data systems and processes Knowledge of data extraction transformation and loading techniques Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Familiarity with data security scalability and performance optimization techniques Competence in developing and maintaining data models dashboards and reports b Behavioural Competencies b Effective communication skills both verbal and written for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously Collaboration and teamwork abilities for working effectively in cross-functional teams Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies Analytical and critical thinking skills for interpreting and deriving insights from data Commitment to maintaining data integrity security and regulatory compliance Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation
