Sales Assistant / Cashier-(PT-FT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant / Cashier to join our team in a part-time or full-time capacity. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product inquiries and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Bilingual skills and experience in technology or product demos are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties
  • Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers to promote sales
  • Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Manage phone inquiries professionally, offering information about products and store policies
  • Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product displays
  • Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Skills
  • Multilingual abilities are a strong plus for engaging diverse customers
  • Proven experience in retail sales or technical sales environments
  • Strong cashiering skills with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
  • Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about features
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory counts
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting
