Overhead Contact System (OCS) Engineer Rail Metro Projects

## Build the infrastructure that moves cities forward Linxon is a joint venture between Atkins. Réalis and Hitachi Energy, dedicated to turnkey substations and power infrastructure. We're currently looking for an Overhead Contact System (OCS) Engineer – Rail Metro Projects to support engineering, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of OCS works for rail metro projects. In this role, you'll be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and you'll work across project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, budget targets, and project schedules. ## What you'll be doing Your main focus: reviewing and supporting OCS design, layout drawings, calculations, and technical specifications. You'll ensure everything we deliver meets client specifications and applicable standards while coordinating design activities with engineering and system integration teams. On the execution side, you'll support installation, erection, and commissioning of OCS systems, monitor site activities against approved drawings and procedures, and provide hands-on technical support for construction issues. That means working closely with Civil, Track, Traction Power Supply, Signaling, Rolling Stock, and SCADA teams to keep system interfaces clean and resolve technical issues as they arise. You'll also be involved in testing, inspection, energization, and commissioning activities, verifying performance and compliance with both technical and safety requirements, and help prepare testing and commissioning documentation. Along the way: - You'll ensure quality standards, HSE requirements, and project procedures are followed. - You'll take part in site inspections, audits, and safety reviews. - You'll promote safe working practices during installation and testing. - You'll prepare engineering reports, technical submittals, progress updates, and maintain project records, drawings, and inspection reports. ## What we're looking for This role calls for a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus 15-18 years of overall experience in electrical infrastructure projects. At least 7 of those years should be directly relevant to overhead catenary systems for traction power projects. Experience in OCS design, installation, testing, and commissioning is preferred. You should be comfortable with: - Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) - Traction Power Supply Systems - Earthing & Bonding - Testing & Commissioning - Railway Electrification Standards - Rail System Interfaces A good understanding of rail project HSE requirements and safe work practices is essential.
