VACANCY – NIGHT ELECTRICIAN / CHIEF ELECTRICIAN<p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>Night Electrician / Chief Electrician</strong> with strong <strong>offshore drilling / Semi-Submersible / Drillship experience for our operations in Offshore Andamans</strong></p> Key Requirements & Experience<ul><li>Proven experience working on <strong>Semi-Submersible Drilling Rigs / Drillships</strong></li><li>Diploma / Degree in <strong>Electrical Engineering</strong></li><li>Valid <strong>CompEx / Hazardous Area Certification</strong></li><li>Valid <strong>OGUK Offshore Medical</strong></li><li>Valid <strong>PCC / Police Clearance Certificate</strong></li><li>Valid <strong>BOSIET with EBS / CA-EBS</strong></li><li>Strong experience in <strong>offshore electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding and preventive maintenance</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Top Drive systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Drawworks motors and associated electrical systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Dynamic Positioning (DP) Systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Mud Pumps and associated electrical drive systems</strong></li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Diesel Generators / Generator Control Systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Transformers</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>HV & LV Switchboards</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>HV/LV electrical distribution, switchgear, protection and isolation systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>SCR systems</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>VFDs</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>motor control centres (MCCs), starters, breakers and protection systems</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Hazardous Area electrical equipment, Ex-rated equipment and offshore electrical installations</strong></li><li>Ability to carry out <strong>electrical fault finding, emergency repairs and breakdown maintenance</strong> under offshore operating conditions</li><li>Good understanding of <strong>electrical safety, isolation/LOTO procedures and permit-to-work systems</strong></li><li>Ability to work independently during <strong>night operations</strong> and provide electrical support to the rig team</li></ul> Assignment<p> <strong>This is a short-term temporary assignment for a couple of hitches only.</strong></p><p>Candidates should therefore be <strong>available for a short-term offshore rotation</strong> and preferably available at short notice.</p><p><strong>Preferred:</strong> Candidates who have previously worked as <strong>Chief Electrician / Rig Electrician</strong> on <strong>6th/7th Generation Semi-Submersible Drilling Rigs or Drillships</strong>.</p><ul><li>Interested candidates may share their <strong>updated CV along with valid certificates</strong> for consideration.</li></ul>
