Microsoft 365 – Exchange Online Administrator 100% Remote Job Summary The Microsoft 365 – Exchange Online Administrator is responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining Exchange Online environments within Microsoft 365. The role focuses on email administration, security, user management, compliance, and ensuring the availability and performance of messaging services. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Exchange Online within the Microsoft 365 environment. Create, manage, and maintain mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and mail-enabled security groups. Configure and manage email routing, connectors, mail flow rules, and transport policies. Monitor Exchange Online health, performance, and service availability. Troubleshoot email delivery, mailbox access, and client connectivity issues. Manage mailbox migrations and onboarding/offboarding activities. Implement and maintain email security controls, including anti-spam, anti-phishing, and malware protection. Support retention policies, compliance requirements, and eDiscovery requests. Administer Microsoft Outlook and Exchange-related configurations. Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve issues and improve services. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments. Strong understanding of Exchange Online administration and mail flow concepts. Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Exchange Admin Center. Knowledge of email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for administration and automation. Understanding of Microsoft Outlook configuration and troubleshooting. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration. Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365. Familiarity with Microsoft Purview compliance and retention features. Experience with hybrid Exchange environments and mailbox migrations. Understanding of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online integrations.
