Job Description Summary

Looking for a Service Sales Engineer to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. He will provide complete and appropriate service solutions to every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition, and profitability.

B.E./B-Tech/BSc/MSc(Electronics/Instrumentation /Instrumentation & Control) with rich experience in sales & marketing of technical services-Annual Maintenance Contract, Site Service, Upgrade solution, After Sales Services, Spares Parts Sales, Training & specialized service solution promotion & sales. Knowledge required in DCS,PLC,SCADA, RTU and control systems, Field Instruments, Data Acquisition System, Liquid & Gas Process Analyzers, process Controllers etc.,

Cyber Security of OT network and related components & spares used in Industrial automation domain. Good command of spoken and written English communication. Willing to travel extensively within northern region. The role requires a combination of fieldwork, virtual selling, and collaboration with internal teams.

Confident communicators, self-motivated, and skilled in building relationships are preferred.

Requirement for Service Sales Engineer at YIL-New Delhi

JOB TITLE : Service Sales Engineer

Department : Service

Reporting to : Service Manager

Qualification : BE/B Tech (Electronics/Instrumentation)

Experience required: 3-6 Years (Preferably in Sales)

Location : New Delhi

On the job Travel: Moderate (50% to 70% in a month)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calls, networking, social selling, and referrals for new business. Keep record of current service contract and engage with customer for timey service contract renewal.
  • Pitch services and service solutions to potential clients via phone, email, or face-to-face meetings
  • Conduct live product demos or presentations tailored to customer needs
  • Negotiate and close deals by addressing objections and offering compelling value
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance KPIs
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in Ledgers & Software portals
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing and operations) to ensure client satisfaction
  • Provide market feedback to refine Service offerings and sales strategies
Qualifications & Skills
  • Educational Qualification: BE/B-Tech (Electronics/Instrumentation)
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skill: Knowledge of DCS,PLC,SCADA,RTU and control systems, Field Instruments, Data Acquisition System, Liquid & Gas Process Analyzers, process Controllers etc., Cyber Security of OT network and related components & spares used in Industrial automation domain.
  • Persuasion and Negotiation: Understanding the features, benefits, and ROI of offered services/service solution. Handle objections, ease concerns, ability to deploy strategies for high order conversion, strong negotiation and presentation skill,
  • Required experience:- Experience in using Sales Software and Sales automation tools. Experience in handling competitive Tenders, Bid submission (GeM).
  • Preferred experience:- Previous experience in Service Sales is preferred.
  • Time and Task Management: Prospecting, presentations, offer submission, order tracking reporting and follow-ups. Prioritizing high-impact activities
  • Interpersonal Traits: Highly persuasive, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a customer-first mindset. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
