GROCERY STORE MANAGER / SUPERVISOR

Bombay Spices is looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager / Supervisor to oversee store operations and help grow our Barrie location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily store operations
  • Ordering, purchasing and inventory management
  • Receiving, stocking and merchandising
  • Staff scheduling, training and supervision
  • Customer service and store standards
  • Vendor coordination
  • Sales, promotions and local marketing
  • Social media and community marketing initiatives
  • Control wastage, shrinkage and operating costs
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability
  • Take ownership of overall store growth

Requirements

  • Experience in Indian/South Asian grocery, ethnic grocery or supermarket operations preferred
  • Previous store management or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Indian grocery products
  • Experience with ordering and inventory
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Marketing and sales-growth experience is an asset
  • Proven track record of growing sales or improving store performance preferred

Compensation Competitive Monthly Salary + Annual Profit-Sharing Opportunity. Compensation and profit-sharing details will be discussed during the interview.

Potential Immigration Support: Employment and immigration-related support may be available for the right candidate, subject to eligibility and applicable Canadian requirements.

Location Barrie, Ontario. Local candidates are preferred. Candidates outside Barrie may apply if they are willing to relocate to Barrie.
