Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking an innovative finance professional with exceptional analytical skills and business judgment to accelerate Amazon's growth through partnerships with Mobile Operators, video distributors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide. This high-impact role focuses on supporting some of Amazon's most strategic commercial partnerships in India and Asia Pacific, where you'll build complex financial models, quantify customer value, and influence senior leadership decisions.

As a key finance partner, you'll work at the intersection of finance, business development, and marketing, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive Amazon's flywheel. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop rigorous analysis, challenge business assumptions, and deliver recommendations that shape multi-million dollar partnerships. Key job responsibilities

  • Build complex, scalable, and flexible financial models to evaluate partnership opportunities, interpret data, and deliver recommendations that drive results and influence leaders throughout Amazon
  • Develop and report key input metrics that support business growth, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for decision-making on strategic partnerships
  • Partner with business development and marketing teams to challenge business assumptions, evaluate partnership economics, and provide thought leadership in quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors
  • Collaborate with finance leaders and Business Intelligence teams to enhance and automate financial reports for business reviews, ensuring accuracy in billing, cost allocation, and financial presentations
  • Communicate financial strategies and analysis to VP level leaders, effectively influencing stakeholders across a matrixed environment while navigating ambiguity in uncharted territory A day in the life
You'll start your day analyzing the financial performance of strategic partnerships across India and Asia Pacific, diving deep into partner economics and customer metrics. You'll build sophisticated financial models to evaluate new partnership opportunities with mobile operators or video distributors, then jump into collaborative sessions with business development teams to challenge assumptions and refine deal structures. Throughout the day, you'll work with Business Intelligence teams to automate reporting dashboards, conduct industry research on potential partners, and prepare compelling financial narratives for senior leadership reviews.

You'll balance rigorous financial analysis with creative problem-solving, constantly seeking opportunities to advance Amazon's growth initiatives.

About the team The Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is a small, tight-knit group of analytical and creative professionals working on strategic partnerships that accelerate Amazon's flywheel by distributing digital services globally. This centralized corporate business development team partners with Mobile Operators, Multi-channel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs), and OEMs worldwide to bring Amazon's digital services to millions of customers.

The team values first-principles thinkers who thrive in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments. You'll work alongside finance professionals who combine rigorous analytical skills with business creativity, diving deep into complex problems while remaining adaptable and action-oriented. The team's mission is to provide thoughtful financial leadership that directly influences senior leaders' decision-making on some of Amazon's most impactful commercial partnerships, with a particular focus on high-growth markets in India and Asia Pacific.

Basic

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
