Educational Game Tester - Internship (WFH)


About the internship:

Eklavya is an educational platform offering interactive learning games and activities for children aged 3-12. We are looking for a detail-oriented Game Tester to thoroughly evaluate our games for functionality, educational accuracy, usability, and age appropriateness.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Play and thoroughly test educational games across multiple levels.
2. Understand each game's learning objective, rules, and expected behaviour before testing.
3. Verify gameplay logic, correct answers, scoring, lives, timers, hints, rewards, and completion conditions.
4. Check whether instructions are clear and understandable for the intended age group.
5. Evaluate whether the difficulty level is appropriate for the assigned grade.
6. Verify educational content, spelling, grammar, images, audio, and answer accuracy.
7. Test games across different devices, browsers, screen sizes, and orientations.
8. Identify and test critical and edge-case scenarios.
9. Identify gameplay, content, usability, performance, and device-specific issues.
10. Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, device details, screenshots, and screen recordings.
11. Retest resolved issues and verify that fixes do not introduce new problems.
12. Suggest improvements to make games clearer, more engaging, and easier for children to use.

Important

We are not looking for someone who will simply play each game once and mark it as working. The selected tester must examine games carefully, test unusual actions and edge cases, verify educational content, and assess whether children in the intended age group can understand and use the games independently.

Stipend:

INR₹ 5,000 - 5,001 /month

Software Testing, Data Structures, Manual Testing, REST API, Postman and Usability Testing

Other Requirements:

  1. 1. Prior experience testing games, websites, or mobile applications is preferred.
  2. 2. Must have access to multiple devices, including Android and iOS phones. Access to a tablet or computer is an advantage.
  3. 3. Strong attention to detail and patience to test different possible user paths.
  4. 4. Ability to understand game rules, learning objectives, and expected outcomes.
  5. 5. Good written English and ability to identify spelling, grammar, and content errors.
  6. 6. Ability to distinguish gameplay bugs, content errors, usability issues, and device-specific problems.
  7. 7. Comfortable providing screenshots and screen recordings.
  8. 8. Ability to write clear, structured, and reproducible bug reports.
  9. 9. Experience with children's games, educational content, or school curricula is an advantage.
  10. 10. Candidates with prior experience in testing
