Director, Services Marketing - Agentic Business Process Services

Leading at Cognizant:

This is a Leadership role at Cognizant. We believe how you lead is as important as what you deliver. Cognizant leaders at every level: Drive our business strategy and inspire teams around our future. Live the leadership behaviors, leading themselves, others and the business. Uphold our Values, role modeling them in every action and decision. Nurture our people and culture, creating a workplace where all can thrive.

At Cognizant, leadership transcends titles and is embodied in actions and behaviors. We empower our leaders at every level to drive business strategy, inspire teams, uphold our values, and foster an inclusive culture.

About the role:

As a Director, Services Marketing for Agentic BPS, you will make an impact by shaping and amplifying our market narrative across marketing and communications for Cognizant's Agentic Business Process Services practice, driving growth in a high-velocity, high-impact space through strategic narratives, capability awareness and demand generation programs, and high-engagement content. You will be a valued member of the Intuitive Operations and Automation (Agentic BPS) Marketing team and work collaboratively with the practice's business leaders, Cognizant's global corporate marketing and communications teams, sales and solutioning teams, delivery teams, and industry analysts.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end messaging and positioning strategy for the practice — defining the core narrative, value propositions, and differentiated AI and agentic story that resonates with clients, analysts, and internal stakeholders, grounded in market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Drive a consistent, always-on, multi-channel marketing and digital presence — including the practice website, social media, practice decks, campaigns, and event materials — treating the web presence as a living, business-critical asset.
  • Lead the systematic development of a robust case study library and reusable deal-support assets, partnering with sales and solutioning teams to create bespoke narratives, credentials decks, and RFP content that differentiate Cognizant's agentic BPS services.
  • Commission and publish a steady flow of high-quality thought leadership content and drive analyst recognition and market visibility across key industry evaluations (e.g., Everest, HFS, Gartner, IDC).
  • Define the annual marketing strategy, KPIs, and reporting rhythm while leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing marketing and communications team in a matrixed environment.
  • Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead through strategic agility, client value creation, AI-led innovation, disciplined execution, collaborative ecosystem building and amplifying human potential through a culture of growth, inclusion and effective human-AI collaboration.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 20+ years of progressive experience in marketing and/or communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, including experience in Business Process Services and AI/agentic AI.
  • Deep understanding of technology — particularly AI, automation, and digital transformation — in the BPS industry, with the ability to translate complexity into compelling narratives.
  • Proven track record of building and leading integrated marketing and communications functions, ideally within a global services or technology organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong executive presence, with the ability to influence, counsel, and partner at all levels and tailor messaging for C-suite, employees, clients, and analysts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with strategic vision, client-centric thinking, innovation, disciplined execution, collaboration and a commitment to developing people in line with the Cognizant Way to Lead.
  • Proven track record of building trust, demonstrating ownership, exercising sound judgment and fostering an inclusive culture that supports growth and associate success.

These will help you stand out:

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Process reengineering / process transformation experience.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, influencing without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to align global marketing strategies with local/practice-level needs while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Experience thriving in complex, fast-evolving environments by translating strategy into action, fostering cross-functional collaboration and championing continuous learning and curiosity
