This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment while representing the company.<br><br>We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from all qualified individuals, including Indigenous peoples, visible minorities, and women.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Moving around 15-25 shunt trailers per shift using a shunt truck</li><li>Be able to park trailers efficiently and tidy yard spacing to help traffic flow</li><li>Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service</li><li>Ensure trailers are in good working condition and readily available to be loaded</li><li>Doing local deliveries within Calgary</li><li>Assisting in the Warehouse offloading trailer<br><br></li></ul><strong>Core Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Valid Class 1 driver's license (manual transmission will be an assest)</li><li>Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)</li><li>Shunting experience required</li><li>Moffett and forklift experience is an asset</li><li>Comfortable with smartphone technology</li><li>Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors</li><li>Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada</li><li>Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach<br><br></li></ul><strong>Role-Specific Requirements<br><br></strong>Class 1 Truck Driver<br><br><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience Required <br><br></li></ul>Physical Requirements<br><br><ul><li>Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Why Work for Canada Cartage?<br><br></strong>With over 100 years of experience, Canada Cartage is a trusted leader in transportation and logistics across Canada.
