Business Development Manager - Heavy Machinery

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Thermal Engineering International (TEi) department. In this role, you will be a pivotal force in driving our growth across domestic and export markets within the industrial products and heavy machinery sector. Role Overview

As the Business Development Professional, you will be responsible for both domestic and export markets. Your primary focus will be developing and executing sales strategies that align with the company's short-term and long-term business plans. You will build relationships with target customers, identify new opportunities, and manage the full sales cycle from pre-qualification to RFQ pipeline management and business conversion.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Actively search for new sales opportunities with existing customers while identifying and onboarding new clients.
  • RFQ Management: Perform timely reviews of specifications, acknowledge assigned RFQs, and respond to all customer requests for information or proposal clarifications.
  • Contract Negotiation: Liaise directly with customers to negotiate technical and commercial terms of contracts.
  • Accuracy & Compliance: Review final estimates for content and accuracy to ensure they meet the specific intent of customer RFQs and specifications.
  • Project & Relationship Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of business and ensure all customer demands and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Travel: Manage a high-frequency travel schedule, with requirements ranging from 50-75% of total working hours.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Business.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 to 15 years of relevant Sales or Business Development experience in the industry.
  • Market Knowledge: Proven exposure to international marketing and sales strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, provide quick solutions to complex problems, and work independently under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
