Brand Community Builder

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER Mad Men Marketing India | Delhi, India | On-site About the Company At Mad Men Marketing, we don’t just create ads—we build brands, conversations and cultural moments. We work at the intersection of strategy, creativity, technology and culture, partnering with some of India’s most recognised brands to create digital-first work that is relevant, engaging and measurable. Through our AI-first approach and Mad EnAible capabilities, we combine human judgement and creativity with AI to make thinking and execution sharper, faster and more scalable—consistent with the direction already reflected in the current Mad Men JDs.

About the Role We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who can THINK + OWN + EXECUTE. This is not a role for someone who only makes monthly calendars, schedules posts or follows trends. You will own the social media presence of assigned brands—from understanding the brand and audience to developing the strategy, generating ideas, planning content, briefing creative teams, driving execution, analysing performance and continuously improving what we put into the world.

You should understand brands, people, platforms and culture—and know how to turn that understanding into content people actually want to watch, read, share and engage with. What You’ll Do Social Media Strategy & Ownership - Own the social media strategy and day-to-day direction for assigned brands.

  • Understand the brand, category, competition, audience, business objectives and cultural context.
  • Define content pillars, platform roles, tone of voice and communication direction.
  • Translate brand objectives into actionable social media plans.

Content

Planning & Ideation - Build strong monthly/quarterly content plans—not filler calendars.

  • Generate relevant ideas across Reels, carousels, static content, stories, topical content, creator content and platform-native formats.
  • Identify cultural moments, trends, conversations and opportunities brands can participate in meaningfully.
  • Contribute ideas for larger digital campaigns and integrated brand initiatives.

Creative

Briefing & Execution - Convert ideas into clear briefs for copywriters, designers, video editors, creators and production teams.

  • Provide strong references and clearly communicate the expected output.
  • Work cross-functionally to take content from idea → execution → review → live.
  • Conduct first-layer quality checks for brand fit, copy, creative quality, platform fit and execution. Copy & Content Judgement - Write/review captions, hooks, scripts, content lines and social copy when required.
  • Understand what makes a strong opening hook, narrative and CTA.
  • Protect the brand's voice while keeping communication contemporary. Reels, Shoots & Content Production - Identify what content needs to be shot versus designed/generated.
  • Develop concepts, references, scripts and shot requirements.
  • Participate in shoots and work with creators/content teams where required.
  • Think mobile-first and social-first rather than adapting everything from traditional advertising. Platform & Trend Intelligence - Stay deeply plugged into Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging platforms/formats.
  • Understand changing platform behaviour and content consumption.
  • Distinguish between a trend worth using and one that has no relevance to the brand. Performance & Optimisation - Track reach, engagement, watch time, retention, shares, saves, follower growth and other relevant metrics.
  • Understand why content performed or failed—not just report numbers.
  • Convert performance data into specific recommendations for the next content cycle.
  • Experiment with formats, hooks, posting approaches and creative directions. AI-First Working - Use AI intelligently for research, ideation, social listening, references, scripting, copy variations, visual exploration and productivity.
  • Know when AI makes the work better/faster—and when human judgement and craft matter more. Ownership & Closure - Manage multiple brands, priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactively flag blockers before they become deadline problems.
  • Keep work moving across teams without constant senior chasing.
  • Own deliverables through to final publication and performance review. What We’re Looking For - 3–5 years of relevant social media/digital marketing experience;

strong agency experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience managing brands and social media accounts end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and platform-native content.
  • Strong content, copy and visual judgement.
  • Ability to turn business/brand objectives into relevant social ideas.
  • Strong understanding of Reels, hooks, storytelling, trends and digital culture.
  • Experience briefing and working with copy, design, video, creators and production.
  • Comfortable reading social analytics and deriving actionable insights.
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving agency environment.
  • Curious and actively experimenting with AI and emerging creative tools. You’ll Stand Out If You can show us:
  • A social account you improved.
  • A content idea you're proud of.
  • A Reel/content format that worked and why.
  • A campaign you helped take from insight to execution.
  • And something you learned from content that failed.
  • Portfolio / work samples are strongly preferred.
