Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Machine Learning Data Associate (MLDA) specializing in Chinese to join our global product team. In this role, you will partner with machine learning engineers, product managers, and customer service leaders to refine our neural machine translation (NMT) system. Your work will directly influence the quality of real‑time translations across email, chat, and chatbot channels, ensuring that language is never a barrier to exceptional service. As a remote team member, you will collaborate with colleagues across time zones, leveraging cutting‑edge tools and data pipelines to audit, analyze, and improve translation quality. Your insights will shape the roadmap for our translation engine, helping worksphere support customers in 39 languages and beyond. Key Responsibilities Translation Auditing Conduct meticulous reviews of Chinese‑to‑English and English‑to‑Chinese translations across multiple channels (email, chat, Message Us, and CS Chatbot). Identify linguistic nuances, cultural references, and contextual errors. Data Analysis & Prioritization Quantify translation quality metrics, surface high‑impact improvement opportunities, and prioritize them based on customer impact and feasibility. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Program Managers, Product Owners, and Customer Service Associates to translate audit findings into actionable product enhancements. Process Optimization Design and iterate on quality‑assurance workflows, including test case creation, automated scoring scripts, and feedback loops. Product Testing & Validation Execute end‑to‑end tests of new translation models, validate performance against real‑world scenarios, and document results for cross‑functional teams. Documentation & Reporting Produce clear, concise reports in English that summarize audit outcomes, recommendations, and progress metrics. Continuous Learning Stay abreast of advances in NMT, natural language understanding, and data‑driven quality improvement techniques. Essential Qualifications Native‑level fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in localization, translation, or language quality assurance. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large volumes of customer interactions and extract actionable insights. Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless commitment to quality.
