Accountant - Accountancy Practice (Permanent)

The role will involve handling accounting, taxation and compliance work for multiple clients under the guidance of Chartered Accountants and senior professionals.
Maintain books of accounts for multiple clients across different industries, including entries for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals and contra entries.
Prepare and pass accounting entries in Tally ERP9/Prime and other accounting software as per client requirements.
Carry out bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny and party reconciliation on a periodic basis.
Prepare GST workings and assist in filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C and reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B (ITC matching).
generation and reconciliation of Form 16/16A via TRACES.
Assist in computation of income tax liability and support in preparation and e-filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms and companies.
Support statutory audit, tax audit and internal audit assignments, preparation of audit schedules, working papers and documentation as directed by the audit team/CA.
Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and finalize accounts for clients under supervision.
Assist with ROC/MCA related compliance filings and other regulatory documentation as required.
Prepare client invoices, MIS reports and periodic financial summaries.
Coordinate directly with clients to collect data, vouchers, bank statements and clarifications needed for accounting and compliance work.
Maintain organized digital and physical records for each client file to ensure audit trail and easy retrieval.
Ensure all statutory due dates (GST, TDS, ROC, Income Tax) are tracked and met without delay.
Support seniors/CAs on ad hoc assignments including notices, assessments, and compliance queries from tax departments.

Graduate/Postgraduate in B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent (Accounting/Finance/Commerce background).

  • 13 years of relevant experience, preferably in a CA firm or professional accounting/audit practice (freshers with articleship experience in a CA firm may also be considered).
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Tally ERP9/Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
  • Practical exposure to GST and TDS compliance, return filing portals (GST Portal, TRACES, Income Tax e-filing portal).
  • Basic understanding of accounting standards and statutory audit documentation is a plus.
  • Ability to independently manage accounting for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven CA firm environment.
